LEKKI TECHNOLOGY COMPLEX PROJECT IN PROGRESS


Plans have been put in place to begin the construction of a mega shopping mall along the newly constructed Lekki-Epe Expressway, directly in front of Abraham Adesanya Estate in Ajah.
The project being spearheaded by Messrs Richards Infrastructure Limited has earned the support of many investors and the Lagos State Government has already issued a governor’s Consent on the land in a bid to decongest the ever rowdy Computer Village Ikeja.
Designed by the architectural firm of Gab Associates, the construction is estimated to have cost N300million, with 167 shops for show rooms, business offices, retailers and phone repairers. Each shop is projected to go for N350,000 per square meter.

The main contractor of the project estimates that commencement and completion of the project would be between March 2014 and December 2014 while handover to shop owners will be early next year. Although the contractors have been given 18months as the duration of the project. Shop owners will get title that would only be released upon full payment in which payments can be made in full or by instalment, Initial payment of 30percent and balance due within 8months.
On why developers preferred the specialised development, the Chief Operating Officer Messrs Richards Infrastructures Limited Mr Dayo Oyedele, said “the use of computers and other electronic gadget for everyday life activities has become the order of the day in Nigeria. Electronic items like computers, phones, printers, photocopiers, cameras, Television sets and so many other gadgets and spares consumables.”
Plans are being made to provide shop owners, business guests and ICT with Wi-Fi and internet facilities at a very cheap rate. Features like banking facilities, eatery, lounge, ATM, constant power supply with a standby generator, 24hours security, ample parking space, adequate water supply, toilet facility and warehousing facility would be made available in the complex.
